Week 1 is in the Book

Win Loss and Tie – The Facts

  • Win: I’m still a NON-SMOKER – today is Day 1 of Week Two
  • Win: I lost 4 lbs (disappointed but expected)
  • Loss: Exercise on a scale of 1- 10 was a 1 (I’m alive)
  • Tie: Diet – 50 -50 Valentine w/e, friends’ birthday, and conversion to old ways of consumption – Fatman eating day! A very BAD fellow I am. Excuses all!!

Reasons for these communications is dealing with what are facts regarding my relationship with all things health and weight loss related. Mission of losing a 100 pounds and remaining a non-smoker for life.

I had 4.5 days of mostly following the diet and then a great meal with friends, family food and drink. Loser would be a word relating to Valentines Day. We won’t mention the 20 pieces of chocolate stored in my pocket for the road trip home. (about a mile) Yes crazy as hell also works!!

What is it that makes me (assume a few of you) powerless and operate in my head listening to that little fellow that has a considerable amount of power over me. Let’s call it “The Voice”. The Voice is mostly your friend always agreeing with you when it comes to those decisions. (we all have The Voice or our little friend in our head) Should I workout? Should I eat that piece of chocolate? More on The Voice soon! He has been there my whole life so I’m guessing we’ll talk again soon.

Good news is I’ve started – week one is in the book and public. Bad news is I’m still crazy as a loon with my “addiction” to food/sugar/nicotine/ pick one they all apply. A dozen or so donuts were consumed by someone else! Exercise is my challenge of the week. Goal this week is a loss of 10 lbs. Week two has stared.

A friend suggested that the addiction(s) that I’m dealing with are similar to what alcoholics, drug addicts etc… deal with daily, and numerous other human challenges. Stark raving mad also would probably work describing my insanity. (in a good way) I plan on posting an educational post on addictions. Food being the vocal point in my search for creditable sources.

Again I’ve heard from a second sister worried about my description with using the user name of fatman. I actually think it works in its simplicity and its honesty in describing me at the moment. I’m fine and if I have to remind you a fatman!
