Pain and Suffering - How the mighty have fallen!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

After just 2 days actually working with weights the thing that comes to mind at the moment is - OUCH!!!!! - The new program is going to be great after a few weeks - right now it is about activating those muscles that have always been there but inactive for the most part on my journey to becoming obese. I’m a hurting unit!

Many years ago in a faraway land…. about 30 years ago (damn I hate adding that many years in a statement about me - good thing I still act like a kid) I was considered very well trained and in great shape serving in the military, recently removed from being a competitive athlete and from a family business that physical work was a large part of the job. A saying given to me by a colleague was “He’s not Bad but the Bad don’t mess with him either!”

My workouts have got me in touch on how bad I’ve allowed myself to get physically. ( ie: the subject line) Just a statement of Fact!

I don’t want to disclose the amount of weight (not very much-free weights) used in reps that were used in my new training program. Those same and familiar words come up with me being obese ie; humbling, embarrassed, ashamed etc…

The good news is we have started and those thoughts are strictly and admission and observation on what is so at the moment!!

Committing to correcting my wayward ways that allowed me to become Morbidly Obese! Even though it hurts bad!

Another day in the journey to becoming a……Thin Man!!

May the fat gods be kind!

Fatman
