Morbidly Obese
Day 1 of eating like a thinman!
Well a big win shows up in this day 1 by simple having a day without sugar. What, a morning without a couple of donuts, say it isn’t so…A Win!! 1,000 calories out the window..bye now! Add day 8 being a NON-SMOKER and my body doesn’t know how to act! I actually got a headache the later part of the day and sure that was contributed from sugar withdrawal. Not a big thing for most of you but for a fatman a big deal.
Exercise will be as big a deal for me as eating and smoking. Just carrying around my “Morbidly Obese” person is a workout. Doing dishes last night my back ached just from carrying my belly around. Embarrassed and shame are a couple words that come up reluctantly but true all the same.
“Morbidly Obese” - Now there’s a word for you. On my most recent visit to my doctor that is but one distinction I was left with.
Here is part of Wikipedia description on “Morbidity”;
Morbidity
- See main article: Obesity associated morbidity
A large number of physical and mental conditions have been associated with obesity. These commodities are reflected predominantly in metabolic syndrome.[3] Metabolic syndrome is a combination of medical disorders, which includes diabetes mellitus type 2, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and high triglyceride levels.[30]
Obesity is related to a variety of other complications as well. Some of these are directly caused by obesity and others are indirectly related through mechanisms sharing a common cause such as poor diet or a sedentary lifestyle. The strength of the link between obesity and specific conditions varies. One of the strongest is the link with type 2 diabetes. Excess body fat is behind 64% of cases of diabetes in men and 77% of cases in women.[18]
Health consequences can be categorized by the effects of increased fat mass (osteoarthritis, obstructive sleep apnea, social stigmatization) or by the increased number of fat cells (diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease).[3][31] Increases in body fat alter the body’s response to insulin, potentially leading to insulin resistance. Increased fat also creates a proinflammatory state, increasing the risk of thrombosis.[31]
If you visit this page I ‘m NOT in the picture of the 322# lb belly, although it could be my twin. No I’m NOT a “POSTER BOY” but I could be. Damned embarrassing comes up at the moment!
I just want to make clear that I’m a well adjusted individual thankful for everything that has been granted to me. Truly blessed also comes to mind.
My intention is to use the words that are truthful in there description of “what is so”. Unfortunately the derogatory verbiage is going to “plug people in”. They are just words, that is kinda the point of why I’m doing this. A sister (one of eight) suggested that I change my user name “Smartman Losing?” because of the above and her thinking I’m being to hard on myself. Not a bad idea. (bought domain name - more soon)
My “New” program is up and mostly active. Still considerable issues with functionality. Tremendous amount of information will be available when I disclose and make available. They have promised it soon!
Lots more coming soon!
Be Great, Fatman
